Lageanalyse24, operated by Lageanalyse2 Media Ltd. (Gibraltar company number C 92009, registered in Malta under the Malta Business Registry), is a Swedish digital news publisher accountable to its readers and to the Swedish press standards it voluntarily follows. The entire publication is under the editorial authority of chief editor Maximilian Möller, who is reachable at anders.lindqvist@lageanalyse24.de and is responsible for all publication decisions, corrections and compliance with this policy.
Who is responsible for our editorial standards?
Maximilian Möller, as Chefredaktör, bears ultimate responsibility for every piece of content published on lageanalyse24.de. He ensures that all editorial decisions are independent of commercial interests and that our staff adhere to the principles of accuracy, fairness and accountability. The editorial team — led by Redaktionschef Lisa Franke — reports to him and implements the standards set out in this policy.
How does our editorial process work?
Every article undergoes a structured, human-led process: drafting by a named writer, review by an editor and fact-checking by our fact-checking team before publication. The process ensures that claims are verified, sources are cited where possible and language is precise. For breaking news, a shorter timeline may be used, but a human editor still reviews every piece before it goes live. Our fact-checking team, headed by Sophie Zimmermann, conducts source verification and corrections independently of the newsroom.
How do we distinguish between news, opinion, features, sponsored and affiliate content?
All content on the site is clearly labelled according to its type. News articles report facts without commentary; opinion pieces are marked “Opinion” and represent the views of the author, not the publication. Features are analytical or narrative journalism and carry a “Feature” tag. Sponsored content is labelled with “Sponsored” or “Paid Content” and is produced in collaboration with the sponsor but remains subject to editorial oversight for factual accuracy. Affiliate links are disclosed with a note at the beginning or end of the article stating that the publisher may earn a commission from purchases made via those links. Commercial content never determines editorial conclusions. For full details see our Sponsored Content Policy and Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure.
How do we ensure article-level transparency?
Each published article displays the author’s name, the editor who reviewed it, the fact-checker’s name and the date of last update. Corrections are appended with a note explaining what was changed and why. If a piece has been substantially revised after publication, a prominent update notice is added at the top. We also include a “Sources” section where key sources are linked or cited, and readers can always contact the newsroom via our Contact page to request source information.
How do we maintain editorial independence?
Our funding comes from display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and content licensing. No commercial partner has any influence over editorial decisions. All sponsored or commercial material is clearly labelled, and our journalists operate under a strict separation between editorial and commercial teams. The complete ownership structure and funding sources are published in our Ownership and Funding statement, and our policy on commercial relationships is detailed in our Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure.
How do we disclose the use of AI and automation?
AI-assisted tools may support research, drafting, editing, formatting, translation, metadata generation, headline options, summaries and transcription. Every piece of published editorial content is reviewed and approved by a human editor before publication. AI is never used to fabricate quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience or expert profiles. Our full approach is laid out in the AI and Automation Policy.
How are writers attributed and what are our standards for sourcing?
Every article carries the name and professional contact of the journalist who wrote it. Our team of named writers includes Lisa Franke (Redaktionschef), Tobias Jäger (Politikredaktör), Caroline Kuhn (Wirtschaftreporter), Philipp Müller (Kultur- och samhällsredaktör) and Sophie Zimmermann (Ansvarig för faktagranskning). We expect our journalists to attribute information to identifiable sources, whether public records, official data, expert interviews or direct observation. Anonymous sources are used only when necessary to protect a source’s safety or career, and the editor approves such use. For more about our team, see Our Team.
How can readers submit complaints or corrections?
Readers who identify errors or have concerns about our journalism can send a complaint to our dedicated address complaints@lageanalyse24.de or use the form on our Complaints Procedure page. All complaints are acknowledged within two working days and investigated by the fact-checking team. If a correction is warranted, it is published promptly and noted on the relevant article. Appeals against editorial decisions can be addressed to the Chefredaktör.
